The spy thriller Agent falls short of its potential. Although the film's action-packed trailers initially excite viewers, it falls short of providing a compelling story. In a role that differs from his previous characters, Akhil Akkineni excels, showcasing his adaptability and dynamic action scenes. The character of Mammootty adds a dimension of intrigue by leaving the audience in the dark about his genuine motivations. However, the story loses interest and becomes predictable, especially in the second half, which makes it boring. The emotional passages fall flat, and the climax feels stupid. A few of the characters seem superfluous, and the VFX are mediocre. Despite these flaws, action movie fans should still watch Agent because of Akhil's performance and a few well-executed action scenes.
