Dasara, directed and written by Srikanth Odela, features a blazing performance by Nani, but the story fails to ignite the same fire. While the film creates a scorching ambience with its visuals, it struggles to find emotional depth. Nani's portrayal of Dharani, an alcoholic torn between love and friendship, is captivating, but the larger themes of power, caste, and politics lack substance. The narrative feels disjointed, with politics and elections serving as mere plot devices. Dasara also mishandles its portrayal of women, reducing them to casualties without proper development. The film's world seems detached from reality, lacking a coherent societal framework. Despite some intriguing elements, Dasara falls short due to its unsteady handling of themes and lack of conviction.
