The 1992 book "Damage" by Josephine Hart served as the inspiration for the drama/mystery/romance "Obsession". The protagonist of the narrative is a smart surgeon who suffers terrible consequences as a result of his erotically intense relationship with his son's girlfriend. The sex scenes are tedious and embarrassing, and the ensemble gives mediocre performances. It is a waste of time because the plot is impossible to believe and has no suspense or thrill. The tale is terrible and poorly written, but the musical soundtrack and cinematography are superb. Avoid the series at all costs.
