Selfiee is a scene-by-scene recreation of the first film Driving Licence, which is a subpar film despite having a larger budget. Through loud humour and tacky speech, the film attempts to overdo everything. Selfiee leans further towards being a story about a rivalry fueled by widespread euphoria due to its tone. The tale loses life as a result of the constant search for grandeur in each picture. Since Akshay Kumar is portraying a movie star who is receiving criticism from the public, his performance seems realistic. Emraan Hashmi's complex persona wasn't always that grounded fanboy, as evidenced by his inconsistent performance. Although the story is superior to many contemporary Akshay Kumar comedies, the emotional heart of the film is still having trouble holding together when compared to the original.
