7/10Firstly appreciation to the makers, It's a tough film to make. People who witnessed the 1983 World Cup will relate to the events happened during that era. People who didn't, will get a chance to watch Greatest Episodes of Indian Cricket History on screen.
First half is decent but I personally felt that it could have been much better. Makers purely focused on the drama on Pitch and moments of Dressing room but I felt that it would have been more impactful, if they had included training episodes and basic insights about few Characters like Lala Amarnath Sir character. While watching I was not aware of him, but after watching I was left out with a doubt that who is this Lala Amarnath??
Then after going through research I came to know about his Greatness. He was Independent India's first Cricket Captain and captained India in their first Test series win against Pakistan in 1952.He scored a century for the Indian National Cricket Team in Test cricket.
Yeah I know movie is not about Lala Amarnath sir but I felt it will impact us much if the makers provide little insight about few characters because we 2k kids don't know about great players, so we are unable to recognise them on screen.
Coming to the second half, it's satisfying and realistic. I felt like watching a real cricket match, And the climax is Amazing👏.
Best part is that the makers included real match footage inbetween, Appreciation for that.
Applause to the Casting Director, Each and every character resembles like the original characters.
Ranveer Singh is apt for the role, He did his best 👏. Other Supporting Cast also did their parts well.
Kudos to the Director Kabir Khan Sir for giving us (2k kids) a chance to witness the Greatest Historic win by our Nation. Cinematography and Lighting is Decent, Editing and Music is Good.
My Bottom Lines :
I personally enjoyed it even though it has flat portions here and there. And it has more potential to bleed our hearts because of the crazy combo Cricket & Movie, but over all it's a Good Watch.
If you are a Cricket lover and you are excited to know what happened in 1983 World Cup, then it's your match to watch.
If you are not into Cricket, then it's not your turn. You won't connect to the movie, So better skip it.

"83" is not just a movie, it's an emotion ❤️... especially for people like me, who is mad cricket lover. The heroics of 83'WC victory led by the great Kapil paaji has been shown quite brilliantly. Hats off to the director Kabir Khan & team for giving us such a gift. Every actor has done their roles just perfectly..and what to say about Ranveer Singh, just WOW!!!...what a performance by him, no doubt why he's one of the best actors of our country...I would say it is one of the greatest films I have watched overall, may be some would argue with me over the term "greatest", may be I loved more than others because of being cricket lover, but believe me, I'm saying it from the heart of my heart. Thank you legendary Kapil Dev & co for not just winning the WC, bt also for making cricket popular in India and turning that popularity level to the extent of what it is today. Also, again a huge thanks to the entire "83" movie team for displaying such a great occasion on screen. ❤️❤️❤️

9/1083 is a phenomenal movie. Directed by Kabir Khan and with a spectacular cast this movie will definitely rejoice everyone's mood. It's a special treat for Indian Cricket Fans and as it is said, In India cricket is celebrated like a festival, so this movie will make you relive those unforgettable moments. India's love for cricket has a lot to do with the way the team of 1983 went on to knock the wind out of the West Indies, a nearly-unbeatable cricket team of the period, during
the World Cup Finals that year.
